Product Description

Colour Forge Raven Black is a deep, slightly warm black aerosol primer in a 500ml can - the standard dark undercoat for painters who prefer a warmer black quality compared to pure flat black, with a tone that suits wood, leather and warm-toned dark armies slightly better than the coldest black primers. The name references the jet-black plumage of corvids, and the warm quality is subtle but noticeable under subsequent layers.

Use as the undercoat for Raven Guard Space Marines, for Harlequins and Drukhari armies where black appears alongside vivid colour contrasts, and for Chaos Space Marine forces in very dark schemes. Also practical as a base for wood and leather models in historical ranges, for black-cloaked fantasy warbands, and for any army where the slightly warmer black quality of the primer will complement the earth-toned colours laid on top. Pairs well with yellow and gold to enrich warm metallics.

A warm black primer with a subtle quality that suits dark, earthy colour schemes.
